Cancer Awareness Road Show

We were delighted to attend Cancer Research UK’s Cancer Awareness Roadshow. Our Outreach Coordinator Stephanie attended the three-day event with our Health Ambassadors Carmen and Areeba.

Showgoers got to find out their BMI to check if their weight was within a healthy range and if eligible were referred to our Lose Weight and Move More programmes. The Cancer Awareness Nurses at the event highlights the increased risks from alcohol consumption and smoking, which in turn, gauged an interest in our Drink Less and Be Smoke Free programmes.

Despite the rain over the three days, we had a great time speaking to everyone and helping the residents of Haringey take the next step in becoming a healthier version of themselves.

We look forward to collaborating with more Haringey organisations in the future.
