Reaching my target weight – Jay’s story

Jay joined our service in Haringey with the goal of losing weight. Since then, he has been attending sessions regularly to learn more on how he can achieve this. Here's what Jay said about his experience of our service so far:

“I joined the One You Haringey Weight Loss service for support with losing some weight and to learn about healthy eating for the future so that I could maintain a good diet.

“As I have learning difficulties, my Health Coach, Naomi was always there to help me when needed and she checks in with me on a one-on-one basis after each session, giving me additional support and answering any questions I have.

“I’ve learned a lot during these sessions, and I think what was most helpful was learning about sugars in foods and portion control. I now do a lot of walking to improve my fitness, whilst continuing with the sessions, until I reach my target weight.
