    Health and Wellbeing Manager

As the Health & Wellbeing Manager I have overall responsibility for the running of One You Haringey. I started with the service as a Health & wellbeing Coach in September 2017, and I worked on our weight management and smoking cessation programmes supporting our service users improve their health through behaviour change. I am passionate about nutrition and health, and as a manager I have to ensure that we deliver the best possible service to our participants, and although I am not always directly responsible for our participants journeys, I love to see our participants stories and their continuing journeys when they have completed with us. When I’m not working, I like to spend time with my family, I often have my head down keeping up with the latest nutrition and health news, and I discovered ‘Body Balance’ a few years ago and this is my favourite exercise class.

I have again transitioned into Engagement Executive (Outreach Coordinator) role in July 2021. I'm enjoying engaging with all aspects of my role although sometimes challenging but is very rewarding in achieving and connecting communities to attract people to our free Health & Wellbeing Services.

    Coach Manager

I have been a part of One You Haringey since it began in 2016 and have seen it grow and develop as a service. I live in Haringey and love that together as a team we can help local people live healthier lives by making small changes to their behaviour and lifestyle. No two days at work are the same so it is an exciting role which can be challenging at times, but I enjoy what I do. When I'm not working I enjoy travelling, cycling, gardening, salsa dancing and being with my family and friends.

    Gary Roper

    Health and Wellbeing Coach

Fitness to me is not just about losing weight, gaining muscle or staying in shape, to me it's a lifestyle and has the potential to create a huge positive impact on all 3 of the mental, spiritual and physical aspects within the inner self. My name is Gary and I've been involved in the fitness industry for over 10 years now and have learned and progressed throughout this time, from footballer to football coach, gym instructor to personal trainer, natural body building competitor to yoga enthusiast, and fitness assessor to fitness tutor. My favourite types of training are weightlifting, running, calisthenics, and yoga. I believe that the key to improving your mental, spiritual and physical training, like with most things in life, it revolves around adapting a healthy balance. Opening my mind to learning more and not limiting myself to specialise specifically in one of the five fitness components has over time, allowed me to develop my skill sets and know how. My aim is to continue learning and to help as many people as I can, providing the best service possible.
