A crowd of 700 people came out for the 2019 Chestnuts Park Fest in Haringey for music, dancing, zorbing and smoothie-making for a community festival in Haringey. Chestnuts Park Fest – organised by The Bridge Renewal Trust – brought the community together from across the borough to enjoy a sunny day in their local park.
One You Haringey partnered with the Bridge Renewal Trust for the festival which included live music performances, health and wellbeing activities and community stalls. One You staff carried out free blood pressure checks and festival goers were challenged to make smoothies by cycling to power the blender.
There was a range of taster sessions such as tennis and gym coaching, free blood pressure checks, zorbing and Zumba. There was a range of speeches including the Mayor of Haringey, Cllr Sheila Peacock, Catherine West MP, Joanne McCartney AM, Deputy Mayor of the Greater London Authority, Cllr Mark Blake, Haringey Cabinet Member.
This event was hosted by the Bridge Renewal Trust and co-organised with One You Haringey, in partnership with Haringey Council, Tottenham Hotspur Foundation, Fusion Leisure and a wide range of local community organisations.

This year, the event included the Bridge Renewal Trust’s celebration of 10 years working with local communities to improve the health and wellbeing of people living in Haringey.
